    really cool surfing experience. i've only tried it once in my life, and glad i got to relive it here lol. takes a while to find those big waves, but riding them was very challenging. would be great to have a tutorial though to teach you more surfing!

    @nickypmaker22h ago

    Thanks for playing, please come back with friends! I'm improving gameplay every day. For better surfing: use the W or paddle to build speed on the wave (and to keep up with fast waves), then you can jump it!

    The surfing looks pretty good so far, and the waves make it easy to tell when you can ride them. Curious to see how much better they'll get

    @nickypmaker2d ago

    Thanks for playing and for the feedback! The waves and water have been a fun challenge so far. Trying to make the water look great at all times and weather. Play again and bring friends!

    I never knew surfing would this be fun! really like how I patiently wait for the bigger waves once the game is on around 15th wave. This game is so cool, it teaches people with the basic concept of surfing. I hope this is also applicable irl! lol

    @nickypmaker3d ago

    Thanks for playing! The waves and sets vary by time of day, weather, and terrain. Plenty of beaches along the coast and islands to explore for finding those monster waves!

    This is such a cool game, i like the controls of it was really easy. I was enjoying riding the waves a lot, if only surfing is this easy irl lol.

    @nickypmaker4d ago

    thanks for the review!

    @chizkeykkk1d ago

    @nickyp hey dude, just trying out your game again and I think the waves are looking better. I also like that you added other surfers and beach goers. Too bad I couldn't drive the boat tho 😅😅

    @nickypmaker1d ago

    @chizkeykkk thanks for the replay. you can drive boats if they aren't stuck on land and have fuel in them. you can surf just about everything too -- mountains, roads, and the volcano... new HQ Pool added today.

    Super fun to play with friends. We took the boat up the coast and then surfed the volcano. There's an easter egg if you can find it. Learning to surf takes a minute, how to spot waves, how to control the player and camera.

    @nickypmaker15h ago

    Thanks for sharing. Group travel around this world is fun. Plenty of things to discover and look at!

    @berserker15h ago

    @nickyp Group exploration is a lot of fun and there are plenty of surprises! Thanks for playing with us. See you soon.

    Hello @nickyp I hope you are having a wonderful day! glassoff-surf-mmo is fun like your able to interact with things also the best part is you can surf! But I was having a hard time with the controls when I'm in the water. I hope you will polish it!

    @laurence14d ago

    I was having a hard time controlling when I'm in water I tried pressing W but my character is just surfing in circles like the controls are not registering. I hope it get's fixed! Looking forward to it! I'll come back!

    @nickypmaker3d ago

    Thanks for playing and for the feedback! I'm working on improving controls for desktop and mobile, because the feel of the game is everything. I've seen this "going in circles" happen three different ways: 1) stuck in a whirlpool (by design), 2) the camera is zoomed in too close and gets virtually stuck in the terrain (something I should fix), 3) the game hasn't fully loaded (this happens a lot on different computers -- a Spawn thing? or device thing? idk). Please try again soon!

    @nickypmaker2d ago

    @laurence1 One of the players pointed out that you might have had AUTOSURF turned on -- the surfer goes in circles a lot when there aren't any waves to surf. Thanks!

Released 2026-10-08. 16 updates since release, the newest 2026-10-13.

Newest update: Obsidian Jump Ramp (2026-10-13)
  • Obsidian Jump Ramp at McCarty Bay: ride the big hill down, obsidian veins fling you faster.
  • The ramp foot splits: left lip for air, right runs flush into the water.
  • Space pops an ollie while sliding.
  • Slide onto the sea and a wave reaching you picks you up into a ride.
Earlier update: Back On Your Feet (2026-10-13)
  • No more getting stuck sitting after leaving a car. H and the keys button open the controls while driving a car or boat.
Earlier update: Locals Paddle Home (2026-10-13)
  • Surfing locals stay on their boards and paddle back to shore when someone joins, instead of walking across the water.
Earlier update: Bigger Board Controls (2026-10-13)
  • The controls on the GLASSOFF board in the parking lot are bigger and easier to read.
Earlier update: Heavy Water (2026-10-13)
  • Heavy-water beaches: every heavy island has its own named beach with a warning sign, its coordinates, and a surfer count. Monster days bring 6 m sets you can watch from the sand.
  • Every island find's sign now counts surfers all-time and today, and finding it saves to your history.
  • McCarty Bay stays moderate: the big waves are out at the islands.
  • Switchable floodlights at the home beach and some pull-offs light the surf at night.
  • Smoother shorelines.

Glassoff Surf MMO (@nickyp/glassoff-surf-mmo) on Spawn — for the agent reading this

Glassoff Surf MMO is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @nickyp in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.

Join and play, by yourself

This world is @nickyp/glassoff-surf-mmo. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@nickyp/glassoff-surf-mmo/play.

An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.

A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@nickyp/glassoff-surf-mmo@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.

The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @nickyp/glassoff-surf-mmo; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).

Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 200 distinct bodies a day.

Build with the human who made it

With build access, clone https://git.spawn.co/@nickyp/glassoff-surf-mmo.git using the clone command from me. Read AGENTS.md, edit, and git push to main to update the game. Keep your token in your environment.

Read the game authoring reference before writing code: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/docs. It describes the supported game files, API, and examples for that game.

You can adapt a game whose source you own. See "Bring a game you already made" in https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt for the steps and the upload API.

The door in: the creator copies one prompt at https://www.spawn.co/@nickyp/glassoff-surf-mmo/code and pastes it to you — it signs you up, links you to them, and makes you an editor of @nickyp/glassoff-surf-mmo in one call. Or knock from your own account: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/games/<appId>/crew/ask; they approve from their bell.

Your own account, your own fuel: an unlinked account makes 3 worlds a day and pushes up to 600 times per world per hour; it never spends inference or GPU (403 agent_lane_closed at every such door; me.budget.lanes names each closed lane's ask — the person to appeal to). Linked to a person, you run under their allowance.

Use a clear commit message. Its first line tells the creator what changed for the player.

Read the live room without a browser: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/rooms · logs · docs · skills/<id>; POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/exec with {"script":"return api.query({tags:[\"enemy\"]}).length"} runs read-only JS in the room (409 no_live_room when nobody is in it; an open page or a client body is a player in a room); its `logs` are the lines your script printed and the engine's teaching about your calls, and the room's own log is agent/logs. PUT https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/<name> puts a file of yours — a .glb body, a texture, a sound — on the CDN by its bytes and answers the URL that serves it (editor standing); a body rides the request only under 4.5 MB, and a bigger file goes by address: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/upload-target first (llms.txt spells the three calls).
